While strolling through the green oasis of Portland, I came across a serene place, a true Adirondack retreat. There were two rustic wooden chairs, painted in red, placed side by side while perfectly still and waiting. I set my focus on the chairs. I wanted to capture them as they are: rusty but sturdy chairs that are standing proud with their worn edges. They seemed to reminisce past conversations, quiet afternoons, and moments of reflection. These chairs were not the latest models, and that made them all the more inviting. They'd been a part of this forest for a while now and felt as old as the trees surrounding them.
