The blue tile roof and red doors popped against the deep greens, so I set up across the drained pond to keep the whole stone mound and surrounding bamboo in frame. Humidity hung thick, cicadas buzzed, and the air smelled like wet earth and camellias.

I leveled the camera so the pavilion sat clean and centered, then waited for a cloud edge to soften the glare on the white columns. A light breeze moved the moss just enough to show texture without blurring it. When the color balance felt right—cool roof, warm door, neutral stone—I took the shot.
