Visiting Isle au Haut on a clear summer morning, I was charmed by the rows of buoys swaying in the coastal breeze and the dramatic red lobster cutout facing the harbor. I photographed the wall as a tribute to the hardworking fishermen whose traditions shape Maine’s culture and scenery. Setting the frame, I wanted to highlight both the creativity and resilience woven into daily island life.
