Mille Lacs Lake Fish Statue: Minnesota Historical Photography Wall Art

North of Minneapolis, about 75 miles, is the mammoth lake named Mille Lacs (pronounced mil-Ax). In French, this means “a thousand lakes” - and being the second largest lake in the enter state, this mammoth waterway sure does seem like a thousand in itself. Standing proudley as a monument to the lakes most popular natural resource is the giant fish statue near the waterfront.

What does a statue like this say about the place it calls home? That’s what I wondered as I set up my camera in front of the Mille Lacs Lake Statue.
